Laurie Kleespies, a professional woodworker,  creates functional and sculptural furniture and other one-of-a-kind pieces, both large and small.  A variety of materials are used, from logs to rough lumber, and are hand-chosen for their fine grain and beauty.  A former Army Nurse, Laurie takes great pride in building new and exciting pieces for clients.  Kleespies’ fine works are highly sought after, and adorn homes and offices in the U.S. and abroad, and make wonderful gifts. When not engrossed in a woodworking project, Laurie enjoys birding, photography (which she also sells), xeriscape gardening with native perennials, traveling, skiing and just about anything that doesn’t involve cleaning the house.
